“ There’s a very good variety of items in the food is always very good. Staff is friendly and the service is usually very good as well. My favorite is the Carnitas San Jose. Very tender, juicy and delicious. I wish they had green taco sauce there. I’ve resorted to bringing my own. Lol! Also, the prices have been a little steeper lately. I was surprised to see calamari on the menu as a special for 16. ”

“ There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in Florence and I've been to a few of them but Don Jose is one of the best, if not the best. With a nicely sized and clean parking lot, Don Jose greets you with their big outside artwork displaying their namesake. Inside is very stylishly decorated with hip lighting fixtures and faux flowers and vines reaching up the walls. Very spacious interior, clean bathrooms. Large bar for drinks. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. Although it wasn't super busy (we had a late lunch, around 3pm) I could tell that the place was able to handle a lot of customers. Chips and salsa, mild and hot. I ordered the Molcajete, which was almost sizzling and delicious. Chorizo was amazing. My partner ordered pollo loco, which was cooked perfectly and also delicious. Great experience and we will be visiting again for drinks (they have lots of specials) 9.5 out of ten. Thanks y'all, see you soon! ”
“ Was in town for work and coworkers told us to try it out. Highly impressed and it lived up to their hype. Waiter was awesome, we placed our order, he read is back to us and wrote it down while repeating it in Spanish. They were gracious enough to swap out the rice, beans and tortillas for extra veggies since I'm on Keto. The flavors of this place were absolutely AMAZING. 10/10 would and will definitely go back. ”
